- LaJoie will drive the No. 07 Spire Motorsports Truck for nine of the final 13 races of the season.
- Corey LaJoie is 33 years old and ran full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2019 to 2024. LaJoie did some races in 2025 for Rick Ware Racing, including the Daytona 500, but has not turned a lap since the Food City 500 at Bristol on April 13th.
- Corey only has 5 career Truck Series starts, with a best finish of 10th, at Bristol in 2014.
- The No. 07 Truck runs full-time in the series, but it has a rotating driver lineup. LaJoie will join Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, William Byron, Michael McDowell, B.J. McLeod, Justin Haley, Nick Sanchez, and Sammy Smith, becoming the ninth and final driver for the No. 07 in 2025.
This announcement comes just months after LaJoie sparked debate by making critical remarks about the Truck Series during an interview. LaJoie said he had no interest in racing in the Truck Series, suggesting that racing in Trucks would be a step backward for him by saying that he wouldn’t want to “go to race on Friday to win a trophy and pump the ego in front of 12 fans…” His comments drew reactions from fans, the media, and fellow drivers, and you can read the full story by tapping the link below
