What’s Happening?
Corey Heim has had one of the greatest, if not the greatest Craftsman Truck Series, season in the history of the series. Many greats have come and gone, one of them being Greg Biffle who, in 1999, set the record for the most Truck Series wins in a single season at 9. That record lasted until today, October 3, 2025 when Corey Heim crossed the finish line first at the Charlotte Roval. Corey Heim now has a record-breaking 10 wins so far in 2025. And, based on how things have gone this season, he could have easily had more.

The win didn’t come easy, though. Certainly not as easily as they tend to come for that No. 11 crew. After starting on the pole, Heim was involved in a turn-1 crash that saw him plow hard into the turn-1 tire barrier. This was a result of Grant Enfinger clipping Layne Riggs and turning him up into the 11, causing the crash. NASCAR didn’t throw a caution and Heim had to limp around the track to pit road under green. Shortly thereafter, the caution did wave, but not before Heim lost a lap. He didn’t stay down for long, though. After the first stage, he managed to get back on the lead lap and, by the end of the second stage, he was battling in the top 5. In the closing laps of the race, it was clear that the No. 11, despite not being pretty and being banged up, was clearly still the truck to beat. He took the lead after Brent Crews opted to pit just before the overtime restart. And despite Crews’ fresh tires, they weren’t enough to run him down and retake the lead.
With this win and display of overcoming adversity, it may be obvious that Heim is the truck to beat heading into Phoenix. What do you think, Daily Downforce readers? Is Heim your pick to finally win it all or can out see him, once again, getting upset? Do you think this record will ever be broken? How many wins do you think he could have gotten this year if he didn’t have bizarre things happen to him throughout the year? Let us know what you think! And be sure to tune back in here tomorrow at DailyDownforce.com as we cover the ARCA and Xfinity Series races at Toledo and the Charlotte Roval, respectively.
