What’s Happening?

As the Daily Downforce reported back in January, Rajah Caruth will be heading to Spire Motorsports in 2024. He will race in the #71 truck for the team full-time with HendrickCars.com sponsorship for 10 races. His first race will be the season-opening Fresh from Florida 250 at Daytona on February 16th.

  • Caruth spent the 2023 season with GMS Racing before the team shut down at season’s end. While he struggled early in the season, he rebounded late by leading his first career lap at Nashville and recording 3 top-10s in the final 7 races. His HendrickCars.com connection started at Phoenix in November, where Caruth made a one-off start for Hendrick Motorsports in the Xfinity Series.
  • Caruth joins Spire Motorsports, who is new to full-time Truck Series competition in 2024. Spire has won 3 races in part-time competition between 2022 and 2023. They bought out Kyle Busch Motorsports during the 2023 season to move to full-time, and Spire’s 2 other full-time Truck Series drivers are Chase Purdy and Nick Sanchez.
  • Many fans were excited to see Caruth get this opportunity. This is a car that can compete for wins, and Caruth’s strong finish to 2023 gives fans hope that he has a great future ahead of him.
