What’s Happening?
Sources tell the Daily Downforce that Rajah Caruth is set to go to Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2024. It was not specified whether it would be part-time or full-time, but, Caruth seems to have his 2024 plans set.
- Rajah Caruth spent 2023 with GMS Racing, but, that team closed its’ doors after the season. Caruth recorded four top-10 finishes, including 3 in the final 7 races of the season.
- Spire Motorsports is entering its’ first full-time Truck Series season in 2024. They bought out Kyle Busch Motorsports during the season, and Spire has already signed Chase Purdy to race full-time and Nick Sanchez to race full-time through a satellite team, Rev Racing.
- Fans are excited to see what Rajah Caruth can do in 2024. Many fans loved the flashes of potential he showed in 2023, and they have been waiting for him to officially announce his 2024 plans.
Part-Time or Full-Time?
The question with Rajah Caruth is whether or not he will race part-time or full-time for the team. Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reported in September that the team intended to run three full-time teams in 2024. Spire has already announced that Chase Purdy would drive the 77 truck, and Kyle Busch would run 5 races in 2024, meaning there will be an “All-Star Truck”.
If Nick Sanchez at Rev Racing is included in that three full-time Trucks list, then Caruth may have to race part-time. However, if Sanchez is not included in that list, Caruth has a spot open to race full-time.
It’s also possible that Spire will keep the 7 Truck as a part-time effort like it has been the past few seasons. This allows Busch to run his 5 races while keeping a full-time truck open for someone like Caruth. However, nothing has been officially said about this.
How will Rajah Caruth do with Spire Motorsports in 2024? Is this the move that will push Caruth over the top in 2024?
