What’s Happening?
This Friday, Clint Bowyer returns to the NASCAR ranks in the Truck Series where his career jump-started, Nashville Superspeedway, but it might be the last time Bowyer ever hops into a NASCAR race car/truck. In a video posted to Spire Motorsports’ X account, Bowyer reflected on reuniting with former crew chief Brian Pattie, Nashville Superspeedway, and also said, “To possibly run my last race in NASCAR at Nashville Superspeedway felt fitting.” Is this the complete end of Clint Bowyer’s driving career in NASCAR?
- Clint Bowyer retired from full-time competition after the 2020 season. Since then, he has remained active in the sport through broadcasting with Fox and competing part-time last summer in the Superstar Racing Experience, a series former boss Tony Stewart co-founded. However, Bowyer has not made a start in a National Touring Series, and this appears like it might be finally it for him.
- Nashville Superspeedway holds a special place in Clint Bowyer’s heart. He made his first ARCA Menards Series start there in 2003 and finished second. His first Xfinity Series win came at the track in 2005 for Richard Childress Racing.
- Fans are excited to see Bowyer back on track this weekend. However, they know this might be the end of Bowyer’s time racing in NASCAR, even if he remains active in the sport through broadcasting.
