The inaugural Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway was one of the most surprising. The NASCAR universe has ever seen. A partial repave that was a success, and Toyota not having performance on the short track. - North Wilkesboro, Sonoma, and now Iowa are all on the list of successful repaves this year changing the trend that repaves ruin a track for a few years. What do you think caused this improvement in the sport?
- Early in the race, it was clear that Kyle Larson had the fastest car, but on his way back from a pitstop mistake, he attempted a three-wide pass on Daniel Suarez. Suarez ends up getting loose, causing him to have contact with Larson and ending Larson’s day. Do you think Larson was too aggressive for the situation knowing how fast his car was?
- Expectations for Iowa Speedway this weekend were extremely low. It would be hard to find someone who had a positive outlook on the race before it happened, but fortunately, we were blessed with one of the best short races in the Next Gen era. Should Iowa return to the NASCAR schedule next year?
