Long-time racer Connor Mosack is finally getting his first full-time ride in the NASCAR National Series next season. Mosack will race with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, and it’s the No. 81 truck.
After a stellar part-time Xfinity and Truck Series schedule in 2024, Connor Mosack has earned a full-time ride with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
Last season, in nine Truck Series starts with Niece Motorsports and Spire Motorsports, Mosack scored one top-five and four top-tens. As part of his growing relationship with Chevrolet, Mosack also made two starts with JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series. Known for his skill on road courses, 2024 proved that Mosack was ready for ovals.
Furthermore, MHR is coming off its best season to date, with all three of its drivers making the Truck Series Playoffs. Christian Eckes, in the team’s flagship No. 19, also had one of the most consistent Truck Series seasons ever, scoring 22 top-tens in 23 races. The team also fielded a part-time truck, the No. 91, a show of growth from the team.

MHR is experiencing a time of change. Daniel Dye, who drove the No. 43, and Eckes signed with Kaulig Racing’s Xfinity program for next season. The team has re-signed veteran Tyler Ankrum for next year. MHR also signed on NASCAR Cup Series regular and former Xfinity Series Champion Daniel Hmeric to drive the No. 19 next season.
With Dye leaving, perhaps No. 43 is still open. However, it could transition to No. 81, keeping with MHR’s numbering system. The team has announced that Dye’s Crew Chief, Blake Bainbridge, will call the shots for Mosack.
At press time, there are no clear indicators that MHR plans to expand to four full-time trucks next season. If so, MHR has a fine selection of young Chevy prospects, such as Corey Day, to look into if they want to expand.
Notably, in the announcement graphic, long-time MHR partner NAPA is Mosack’s sponsor; perhaps the well-sponsored Hemric gave the team the ability to shift NAPA to the No. 81 next season.
