No. 5 – Toni Breidinger – TRICON Garage
Longtime racer and influencer Toni Breidinger finally found her full-time ride in the NASCAR Truck Series when Tricon announced she would take over Dean Thompson’s No. 5 for 2025. Despite a solid part-time 2023 in ARCA, Breidinger had an off year in 2024. Perhaps a fresh start could be good for the young driver.
No. 11 – Corey Heim – TRICON Garage
Following another great season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, Heim re-signed with Tricon Garage for 2025. As he continues to dominate the series, Heim is still struggling to win the big one. If his momentum transfers over once again, he could find his way to the top in 2025.
No. 15 – Tanner Gray – TRICON Garage
While his brother takes the next step in his career with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2025, Tanner Gray sticks with TRICON in 2025. His loan highlight from the season was a back-and-forth with Christian Eckes at Martinsville; while his 2024 stat totals don’t look great, his averages were up from 2023. Hopefully, Tanner can add to both of those in 2025.
No. 17 – Giovanni Ruggiero – TRICON Garage
TRICON finalized their lineup with late model standout and 2024 ARCA Menards Series East race winner Giovanni Ruggiero. Toyota highly regards Ruggiero and will take over the team’s flagship No. 17 next season.
No. 18 – Tyler Ankrum – McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
2024 was a season of much-needed improvement and consistency for Truck Series veteran Tyler Ankrum. After years of bouncing between teams, Ankrum will stick with MHR in 2025. Hopefully, he will become the prospect most in the industry always expected him to be.
No. 19 – Daniel Hemric – McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
Daniel Hemric steps down from the Cup Series and returns to the Truck Series full-time for the first time since 2016. He will once again drive the No. 19, this time for MHR. Last season, with Christian Eckes behind the wheel, the No. 19 was the best truck on track. After a tough season on track in 2024, this may be Hemric’s best chance to shine in NASCAR.
No. 25 – Dawson Sutton – Rackley W.A.R.
Dawson Sutton took over the No. 26 from Ty Dillon late last season and found his first top-five at Kansas. Rackley W.A.R. continues to grow year to year. Perhaps a young driver like Sutton and the team’s new shop can be the next step in that progression.
No. 33 – Frankie Muniz – Reaume Brothers Racing
Frankie Muniz continues to roll through NASCAR’s developmental levels heading into 2025. After piecing together a part-time schedule in 2024, RBR rewarded Frankie with a full-time ride for 2025. Frankie has shown to have the talent needed to bring the truck home, but can he take another step in 2025?
No. 38 – Layne Riggs – Front Row Motorsports
After a tough start to the season, second-generation racer Layne Riggs found late-season momentum, winning back-to-back races on his way to winning the Rookie of the Year award. In a post-season interview with FRM, Riggs said, “A Playoff berth is the expectation next season,” hinting that he will return to the No. 38 in 2025.
No. 42 – Matt Mills – Niece Motorsports
Matt Mills’ first full-time season in the Truck Series could have been better. A late-season fiery crash and subsequent stay in the hospital didn’t help his season either. However, sticking with Niece for 2025 means that Mills has a chance to be in a familiar spot next season.
No. 44 – Christian Rose – Niece Motorsports
Former ARCA driver for AM Racing Christian Rose will make his full-time Truck Series debut in 2025. Rose has a few starts in the Truck Series in 2023, but 2025 will be a true proving ground for the driver.
No. 45 – Kaden Honeycutt – Niece Motorsports
This season, Kaden Honeycutt pieced together one of the most diverse schedules in all of NASCAR racing in several series on asphalt and dirt. Honeycutt’s efforts earned him a full-time ride in the Truck Series with Niece Motorsports. Hopefully, this highly touted prospect can live up to the hype.
No. 52 – Stewart Friesen – Halmar Friesen Racing
Veteran Stewart Friesen had a disappointing 2024, scoring just one top-five, a career low. As a veteran of the series, Friesen can hopefully turn this performance around in 2025. In a post on X following the season finale, Friesen mentioned 2025, perhaps confirming the return of his No. 52 next year.
No. 56 – Timmy Hill – Hill Motorsports
Timmy Hill’s team started 22 of 23 races in 2024, showing a slight improvement in average finish on past seasons. Timmy is a fan-favorite underdog making his way through the series, and as he goes forward, the team may continue to improve year to year.
No. 71 – Rajah Caruth – Spire Motorsports
Following his stellar first season with the growing Spire Motorsports, Rajah Caruth and his sponsor, HendrickCars.com, return for a second full-time season with the No. 71. After a taste of the playoffs in 2024, perhaps this can be the year Rajah pieces it all together.
No. 81 – Connor Mosack – McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
After a stellar part-time season in the Truck Series, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing is giving Connor Mosack his first shot at full-time NASCAR National Series Racing in 2025. Mosack is known for his skill on road courses. He improved on ovals in 2024, but will that translate into 2025?
No. 91 – Jack Wood – McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
Jack Wood finally finds his way back to full-time competition in the Craftsman Truck Series with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Wood made 13 starts with the team last season with minimal success. However, the consistency of a full-time ride can prove to be good for Wood.
No. TBD – Chandler Smith – Front Row Motorsports
Following an unlikely free agency, Chandler Smith will be back in the Truck Series full-time in 2025 with an expanding Front Row Motorsports. Smith’s last full-time season in a truck was in 2022 with Kyle Busch Motorsports. That season, he won three races, finished third in points, and had the Series’ second-highest average finish.
These drivers are confirmed to be back in 2025 via announcement or mention. Some drivers who will more than likely be back in 2025 will be added as they or their team confirm this.
