Short track ace Bubba Pollard will join JR Motorsports for a one-off race at Richmond Raceway on March 30th in the #88 car. Rheem will sponsor Pollard in the event, and it will be Pollard’s Xfinity Series debut.
Bubba Pollard is from Senoia, Georgia, and he has won more than 100 late model races in his career according to the JRM press release. He has conquered many prestigious short-track races including the Slinger Nationals, the Rattler 250, the All-American 400, and many others.
JRM has brought late-model drivers in to race in the Xfinity Series before. Josh Berry is one example. He joined JRM in 2021 after years in teh late model program, and he is now full-time in the Cup Series with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Fans are very excited about this announcement, particularly short track racing fans. Seeing these drivers getting a chance to race at the top level is something that fans love to see.
