What’s Happening?
As the 2025 Silly Season rolls on, many drivers and fans closely watch McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. With current driver Christian Eckes reportedly attracting interest in the Cup Series, which drivers could be looking to take Eckes’ place on the team?
- Christian Eckes has put together a solid season in 2024, leading the points and winning three times in the first 14 races. This means whoever fills his seat will have big shoes to fill.
- Over the past few years, McAnally-Hilgemann has built itself into a formidable Truck Series team. The No. 19 truck also has a lot of funding attached from Napa Auto Parts, which could help some drivers who struggle to get funding.
- Fans are looking at this ride as intently as any. They know it could be a big break for someone, but who is the biggest question?
Connor Mosack
Connor Mosack has struggled to find a permanent ride in NASCAR, but he’s shown some promise when opportunities have presented themselves. He recorded an eighth-place finish at Charlotte for Spire Motorsports in the Truck Series, finished sixth in the Chicago Street Race for JRM, and won the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas.
McAnally-Hilgemann could give Mosack one of the best opportunities he’s had in NASCAR. However, he hasn’t shown consistent performance, as he only has four top-10s in 34 National Touring Series starts, even though many of those starts were not for top teams. This could happen, but it might be a slight stretch for McAnally.
Kaden Honeycutt
Kaden Honeycutt has been impressive in limited action with Niece Motorsports. He has more top-10s this season (four) than both full-time Niece Motorsports drivers combined. He’s shown legitimate promise, and if Napa Auto Parts stays on, Honeycutt might not have to worry about funding.
This could be an interesting move, but will Honeycutt leave Niece? With Bayley Currey and Matt Mills struggling, Honeycutt’s opportunity could come sooner rather than later.

Who Will Drive Front Row Motorsports’ Third Car?
What’s Happening? With two open seats for 2025 already filled, the attention turns to two of of the most coveted seats…
It’s also entirely possible that Christian Eckes does not go anywhere. With plenty of competition for Front Row Motorsports’ third car, maybe Eckes won’t make it to the Cup next year. If he does not move up, why would he leave McAnally-Hilgemann?
He’s developed there and become one of the top drivers in the Truck Series. The best way to make himself more attractive to Cup Series team owners is to keep winning and win often.
Brett Moffitt
Brett Moffitt still remains without a full-time NASCAR ride. However, he is a Truck Series Champion, and he has impressed in limited action this season. Joining this race team would allow Moffitt to compete again for a Championship.
Moffitt could easily be an easy turn-key situation for McAnally-Hilgemann, where they know they can win immediately. However, it all depends on the interest of both parties and whether or not the funding is in place.
Luke Fenhaus
Luke Fenhaus won an ARCA Menards Series race last year at Iowa for Chevrolet. However, he’s seemingly moved on to Ford and is taking a part-time ride at ThorSport. Could he move back to Chevrolet with McAnally-Hilgemann?
This could all depend on what happens at ThorSport. No one seems keen on leaving for now, which means Fenhaus may look elsewhere to establish himself in the Truck Series better. Could McAnally-Hilgemann be that place?
