Who Drives Kaulig Racing’s No. 10 in 2027?

What’s Happening?

Kaulig Racing is the Silly Season question on everybody’s mind right now. With A.J. Allmendinger locked in long-term at the team, fans are now asking who will be his teammate in what could be a crucial 2027 season.

As of right now, Kaulig’s 2027 plans seem to be the biggest “what if” in recent NASCAR history.

Not only is there a potential seat open in the No. 10, with CEO Chris Rice recently stating that he has yet to have 2027 contract discussions with driver Ty Dillon, but the potential return of Dodge could propel the team into a new era altogether.

While Dodge has not yet confirmed its return to the sport in 2027, recent rumors and reports indicate that it is a possibility, and with that, the team would have to find the right footing for both the team and a new manufacturer.

There are already a few rumors suggesting some key names could take over the No. 10 for 2027, so let’s look at some of the candidates NASCAR fans think may be the best fit for the No. 10.

Noah Gragson

Gragson’s name has popped up in quite a few Silly Season discussions, suggesting that he could be out of his No. 4 at Front Row Motorsports by next season. While nothing is confirmed, if Gragson were on the market, his sponsorship and popularity with the fanbase could give Kaulig and Dodge a leg up.

Josh Berry

Josh Berry’s free agency came as a shock to most fans as his initial deal with Wood Brothers Racing for 2025 was said to be “multi-year.” With Berry back on the market, and the backing of Dodge mending his potential sponsorship problems, Berry might be the right guy to help the brand and Kaulig get their feet under them in this new era.

Corey LaJoie

LaJoie is an easy option as he is already in-house for Kaulig, driving their No. 10 Ram full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Though he has not raced full-time in Cup since 2024, LaJoie is a popular name who knows the Next Gen car well.

Justin Haley

If you’re having to pair someone with A.J. Allmendinger, why not stick in-house and find a driver that knows the veteran well? Haley’s short time at Spire Motorsports was a struggle from the start in 2025, and while he may have left with a somewhat tarnished reputation, he has shown himself to be a solid driver when the odds are stacked against him, much like Kaulig and Dodge will if they unite for 2027.

Ty Dillon

The question of whether or not Dodge will join the Cup Series in 2027 is on everybody’s mind during these discussions. But Dillon has a similar resume to all but one of these drivers on this list. He has built a solid reputation with the team, and, given the massive amount of changes that Dodge would bring to Kaulig in 2027, why not keep some continuity in your lineup?
