When going to a NASCAR race, buying merchandise is one of the most fun things to do. Where can a NASCAR fan go to find merch at a NASCAR race? There are plenty of places to go and plenty of things to look for.

• At a race track, fans can find merch for all sorts of things. From drivers to race teams to sponsors to the tracks themselves.
• It’s important to know where to look, however. Fans do not want to miss getting something from their favorite driver.
• Fans always love buying merch at the race track. Instead of buying something online, they can buy it and often use it immediately at the track.

Where Can Fans Find Merch?

When at a NASCAR track, there are two places where fans can find merch. Those two would be the midway and under the grandstands.

The Midway

The merchandise midway is a staple of most NASCAR race tracks. Typically, it is located just outside of the main grandstands. Here, fans can find multiple merchandise haulers lined up along with merchandise tents.

This is where official merch is sold for the drivers, tracks, and race teams. Anything that a NASCAR fan wants can be found here, and later, we will tell you more about what can be found in this area.

Under the Grandstands

While not nearly as extensive, fans can find merchandise scattered underneath the grandstands. Typically, this is track or event merchandise along with souvenir programs. Merchandise shopping for drivers is typically done midway outside the track.

If fans want event-specific souvenirs, they can find them under the grandstands sometimes. However, that can be found outside of the track as well.

Outside the Race Track

Sometimes, fans can get older merchandise from the secondary market outside of the race track. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one place where people sell merchandise outside of the track. This is typically the place to go for custom-made things or even older die-casts.

The authentic, new, NASCAR merch can typically be found in the Midway or sometimes inside the track. If fans want something unique, there may be people selling merchandise outside of the track.

What Kinds Of Merch Can Fans Find?

Typically, fans can find four different categories of merchandise at the NASCAR track. Those four are driver/race team, NASCAR, race track/event, and manufacturers. Typically, this is found in the midway.

Driver/Race Team

Most haulers in the merchandise Midway are driver or team-specific. As time has gone on, teams have consolidated most of their driver’s merchandise into one team-specific hauler. Only major names such as Chase Elliott get haulers all to themselves.

Still, fans generally should search for the race team of their favorite driver if looking for driver-specific merch. Merchandise includes t-shirts, jackets, hats, die-casts, and a whole host of other things. This is where most fans look for merchandise on a race day, so be prepared for long lines.

NASCAR

Typically, NASCAR will have a hauler specifically dedicated to NASCAR merch. This is a great place for a new fan who may not have a favorite team or driver yet. It was also a great place to get 75th-anniversary merch in 2023.

Now that the 75th anniversary season is in the rearview mirror, it will be mainly standard NASCAR merchandise again in 2024. That still makes it a great place to find something that is NASCAR-specific without allegiance to any driver or team.

Race Track/Event

Every year, tracks have merch for specific events from diecasts to hats to t-shirts. This can be great for fans who attend a track every year who like moments from specific events, or fans going to a track for a “Once in a Lifetime” trip.

This type of merchandise can typically be found all over the property. This is also a great place to buy souvenir programs on race day. If a particular race or race track holds a special place in a race fans’ hearts, this is where to look.

Manufacturer

Now, manufacturer merch is a bit fuzzy. They do not always have dedicated merchandise haulers, but they do have displays in the midway. Sometimes, they will give away small items like stickers, koozies, or things of that nature.

They do sometimes sell merch, however. It’s typically not as extensive as drivers, but there may be something for a fan of a particular manufacturer.
