Derek Kraus has not been in a seat full-time this year, but he has shown some flashes in solid equipment. It opens up the possibility of Kraus maybe working his way back into a full-time ride in 2024. However, where could Kraus end up?

Kaulig Racing #11/#16: Xfinity Series

Kraus has seven races under his belt for Kaulig Racing in the Xfinity Series, and he has been pretty solid. He has three top-10 finishes with the team, and he has kept the car on track and in one piece for the most part. Kaulig also has at least one Xfinity Series seat open for 2024 with Chandler Smith leaving.

The question here is funding for Kraus, as funding will be a factor in who gets this ride. If he garners the funding, the relationship is there for this to happen. It could be his opportunity to prove himself with a race-winning team.

Young’s Motorsports #2/#20: Truck Series

This may not be the most exciting choice, but Kraus ran for the team earlier this year at Daytona. He qualified 11th and he finished 18th. Again, not a flashy ride, but it could be a place for him to stick with for a time.

The question is how much interest Kraus has in driving for a team like Young’s Motorsports. He may not be running up front week after week, and that may be tough to deal with after driving for a team like Kaulig in the Xfinity Series. However, Young’s Motorsports has won before, so, they can be an interesting team to join.

Derek Kraus remains a bit of a dark horse in NASCAR Silly Season. Will he end up in one of these rides for next year?
