Kaz Grala is the Xfinity Series’ newest free agent for 2024, and there are a few race teams that could be potential suitors for him. After 9 top-10 finishes in his first full-time Xfinity Series season, Grala has enough talent to land somewhere should the sponsorship become available. Where can he go?
SS Greenlight (Xfinity Series)
SS Greenlight Racing ran 2 entrants for a multitude of drivers throughout 2023. For a part-time ride, this could be an interesting landing spot for Grala, and maybe the team could bring him on full-time if sponsorship works out. However, with his sponsorship situation uncertain, part-time may be the place to go for Grala. The team has won before with Cole Custer at Auto Club in 2021, so, maybe they can do it again.
TRICON Garage (Truck Series)
Another part-time effort that could pop up for Grala would be TRICON Garage. He ran three races for the team this year, including a 9th place finish at COTA. Given that his only career NASCAR win came in the Truck Series, Grala could continue to run part-time with the team in 2024. While there is little prospect of full-time racing for Grala with the team, it gives him a solid chance with good equipment.
Kaulig Racing (Xfinity Series)
Kaulig Racing has an All-Star car in their stable, and Kaz Grala may be an interesting driver to pilot it. Kaulig has shown by hiring Josh Williams that they are willing to think outside the box to hire some of their drivers. Grala may be an out-of-the-box choice, but, his solid performance leaves some wondering if he can get it done in top equipment. If Kaulig Racing opens up their All-Star car to him for a few races, this could be his chance.
Young’s Motorsports (Truck Series)
Another team that fielded a truck for part-time drivers in 2023 was Young’s Motorsports. Grala could run part-time with this team, but, could a full-time ride open up with sponsorship? It does not seem out of the question, and that is what makes this team interesting for Grala. It’s a team that has won before on superspeedways, and Grala’s only Truck Series win was on a superspeedway.
Alpha Prime Racing (Xfinity Series)
Another part-time Xfinity Series ride that has not announced a driver is the Alpha Prime Racing 45. Brennan Poole is one of the team’s drivers for 2024 alongside Ryan Ellis. If they choose to field an all-star car, Grala could make for an interesting three-driver lineup on race weekends. Full-time may be out of the cars here too, but, it may not be impossible.
Will Kaz Grla end up in any of these places in 2024? Is there another race team that could snatch him up?
