Frankie Muniz’s plans for 2024 have yet to be revealed yet. However, a solid first season in ARCA means that he has definitely piqued the interest of some for 2024. He recently told Joseph Wolkin of Forbes.com that the goal is Xfinity or Trucks in 2024.
Who are some of the teams that Muniz could potentially look at in 2024? Who could he drive for in either the Truck Series or the Xfinity Series, or if he stays in ARCA the right move.
Xfinity Series
JD Motorsports
JD Motorsports has had multiple drivers driving for them this season, meaning that the 2024 plans for them remain uncertain. Muniz could slot into this team whether it is part-time or full-time, and could have some success with them as well. Even if it is only part-time.
Alpha Prime Racing
Another race team that has had multiple drivers driving for one of their cars this year. Even if it is only is part-time, similar to JD Motorsports, Muniz can go here and run well in the Xfinity Series.
Sam Hunt Racing
Another similar instance to the first two teams, Muniz could slot in likely part-time for this team. Having someone with experience like Kaz Grala can be a help for Muniz as he desires rides higher up the NASCAR food chain.
Truck Series
Niece Motorsports
With Carson Hocevar potentially moving up to Xfinity next season, this could be quite the opportunity for Muniz. It’s a team that definitely has race winning equipment, but that second car has been a question mark at times. This could be a landing spot where Muniz knows he will be getting into good equipment quickly.
ThorSport
With Hallie Deegan struggling in her first year at ThorSport, that seat could open up sooner rather than later. Ben Rhodes, Ty Majeski, and Matt Crafton seem pretty set in stone, but with an extra seat available, why not Muniz? Being second in the ARCA standings is nothing to sneeze at, and Muniz, nor ThorSport, have direct ties to a Cup team, making the match a potential.
Staying in ARCA
Rette Jones Racing
If Muniz were to stay in ARCA, staying with the team he currently is should be an option. Sponsorship issues are the big question mark here, as they are with every team, but Muniz has run well with them. If he stays in ARCA, why change anything too drastically?
Venturini Motorsports
With ARCA being so top-heavy, Muniz’s options are limited. Venturini is his best chance at getting a full-time ride in ARCA if Muniz wants to win races. They are the top team in that garage, and Muniz can have great success with them.
Muniz has plenty of options no matter where he chooses to drive next year. He has proven this year that he can drive and run well, and one can only wonder what a little experience and good equipment can give him higher up the NASCAR ladder.
