Truck team manager and part-time driver Cory Roper was suspended indefinitely Wednesday for violating NASCAR's substance abuse policy.

What’s Happening?

In its weekly penalty announcement, NASCAR suspended Roper Racing head Cory Roper for violating sections 4.1 and 10.1A of NASCAR’s behavioral policies. These sections cover the sport’s substance abuse policy. Roper will have to follow NASCAR’s outline to return to the sport.

What You Need to Know:

NASCAR announced indefinite suspension of Cory Roper for violation of the substance abuse policy.
Roper is the manager and former driver for his family owned team, Roper Racing.
Fans may not see Roper on the track any more, but the sport see all involved as ambassadors of the sport.
