The Stewart-Haas Racing Autopsy

The Iceberg

Jaret’s takes on the motorsports world don’t get much hotter, check out his daily uploads!

The downfall of SHR was swift, brief and needs to be studied. How does a four-car super team in NASCAR close its doors this quickly? luckily, we all have someone to study and that’s The Iceberg. He’s here to give us his autopsy on what happened to Stewart Haas Racing.

  • Kevin Harvick and Rodney Childress brought in the prime of SHR, and it seems like Kevin Harvick’s departure was the final nail in the coffin. Do you think Harvick and his team are why SHR became so good?
  • Another veteran staple in SHR was Kurt Busch, another driver known for making whatever car he’s driving better than it should be. Do you think if Kurt Busch stayed in SHR longer, Would they have the same fate as they do today?
  • When Kyle Larson went through his controversy and became the hottest free agent in the sport, Tony Stewart and SHR heavily pursued Larson, but they were stopped by their manufacturer Ford. Do you think SHR signed Kyle Larson that they would still be here today?

What do you think was the downfall of SHR? Do you think we’ll ever see an incident like this again? Let The Iceberg know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
