The biggest story from Memorial Day weekend was Kyle Larson, attempting the double but I don’t think anyone expected that after the weekend was done we would be debating whether Kyle Larson deserves to be in the playoffs or not but unexpected things happen in motorsports and The Iceberg is here to give us both sides of the debate
- On the positive side, someone would say that Kyle Larson deserves this waiver because even though he missed a race he ended up growing NASCAR in ways that wouldn’t be possible unless he missed the race. Do you think this is enough reason for him to get a waiver?
- On the negative side, Kyle Larson willingly missed a crown jewel NASCAR event to race in a competing motorsport. Based on this, you can understand why people have an argument for him not to be allowed in the playoffs, but do you think this is enough reason not to give him a waiver?
- Now, if you look towards the future, if NASCAR doesn’t give Kyle Larson a waiver, how many drivers in the future do you think would still attempt the double if it means potentially missing the NASCAR playoffs? Do you feel that this can possibly end the Memorial Day double?
Do you think Kyle Larson will get a waiver? Do you think he made a bad decision by missing the Coke 600? Let The Iceberg know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
