What’s Happening?
Indefinitely suspended NASCAR driver Gray Gaulding has learned his legal fate. On Thursday, Bob Pockrass reported that the domestic violence charge against Gaulding was dropped, and the case was dismissed, ending his legal issues stemming from an April arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence. NASCAR has yet to give word on potential reinstatement.
- Gray Gaulding is a 26-year-old NASCAR driver from Colonial Heights, Virginia. He’s competed in the NASCAR National Touring Series since 2014, racing primarily part-time across all three NASCAR National Touring Series. His lone full-time season came in 2019 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for SS Greenlight, finishing 13th in points.
- He did not have a NASCAR ride set for 2024 and had not made a NASCAR start yet this season at the time of his arrest and suspension. He most recently raced in the Xfinity Series at Daytona in August of 2023, finishing ninth.
- NASCAR has yet to comment on Gaulding’s charges being dropped. If or when he gets reinstated, it’s not a guarantee he will return to the driver’s seat anyway, given that he didn’t have a 2024 ride to begin with.
