What’s Happening?
Another interesting sponsor is entering into NASCAR, as Rocket League has partnered with 23XI Racing to sponsor Tyler Reddick at Michigan this weekend, per an announcement by 23XI Racing. It’s the first time that Rocket League has sponsored a race car, but it has worked with NASCAR before. It represents another interesting video game partnership for NASCAR.
You Need to Know
- Rocket League most recently partnered with NASCAR in 2022 with the NASCAR Fan Pass. The Fan Pass was highlighted by 2022 Next-Gen cars and paint schemes. While not a new video game, it was a unique way that NASCAR put themselves into the video game market in 2022.
- Rocket League is an online multiplayer vehicular soccer video game. The game is literally playing soccer with cars, and it released in 2015 before becoming free to play in 2020.
- Fans loved the way that the scheme looked on social media. There was even some banter between 23XI Racing and a particular race car simulation. Other fans were happy to see NASCAR collaborating with something like Rocket League.
Around the Garage
A great pun. Also something that 23XI would love to avoid.

Given that Rocket League is now sponsoring a car, NASCAR is getting a larger investement from this partner. This context is especially interesting given that the NASCAR video game license is currently under scrutiny, and a “Major announcement” is expected soon.
