Eric Estepp made a surprise Out of the Groove today in response to Noah Gragson missing this weekend’s race at Sonoma due to a concussion. It was a quick episode with no other major topics being discussed.
- This car does not seem to absorb “routine” impacts the way that the previous generation of car did, and NASCAR does deserve some criticism for this.
- In the instance of Gragson, however, the impact was a major impact, regardless of the generation of car being run.
- NASCAR is actively making safety improvements for the car as was announced today, which is a good thing.
This is obviously a difficult situation for Gragson, and Eric along with the rest of the NASCAR community wishes Gragson well. Hopefully now, finally, the focus can turn to Sonoma Raceway this weekend.
