Joey Logano left North Wilkesboro furious because of a gimmick, as NASCAR’s “fun flag” flipped the script mid-race, and Logano was not amused. Meanwhile, Christopher Bell walks away a million dollars richer, Brad Keselowski crashes out again, and Ryan Preece literally brought the cone to pit road in one of the funniest moments of the weekend. Eric believes that the All-Star Race should be used to test something new and radically different, and the “Promoters Caution” was not “It.”
He says the racing was the best at North Wilkesboro since its return.
He was “pleasantly surprised” by the product. Despite the extreme difficulty of passing the leader, there were multiple grooves, and overtaking was possible.
Eric thinks the All-Star Race should have a more well-defined purpose, bolder and riskier.
