Niece Motorsports has signed another part-time driver as part of its revamped 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series lineup. This time, the team announced that ARCA Menards Series regular Tyler Reif will pilot their No. 42 truck on a part-time basis in 2026.

- According to Niece, Reif will drive the No. 42 for “the bulk” of the 25-race season. Reif made his Craftsman Truck Series debut with Niece in the 2025 Truck Series season finale, piloting the No. 41 to a ninth-place finish.
- Who will drive the No. 42 truck when he is not behind the wheel is currently unknown. However, it’s easy to suspect that some regular part-time workers at Niece, like Trackhouse Racing’s Ross Chastain or Bayley Currey, could be on that list.
- This year, the 18-year-old competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East after two full-time seasons in the ARCA Menards Series West. Much like his time in ARCA West, Reif finished second in East Series points this year after a close battle with champion Isaac Kitzmiller.
- This part-time effort is something Niece has done in the past with drivers like Kaden Honeycutt, who, prior to what was supposed to be a full-time effort this season in the No. 45, had raced part-time with the team for some time.
- The No. 42 is not the only truck at Niece that will have an “anchor driver” in 2026, as the team announced that 2025 CARS Tour Late Model Stock champion Landen Lewis will take a similar path in October.
