It seems like every month more information comes out about the charter agreement. Some of them only affect the business side of the sport, but others I like the news that came out today they affect the entirety of the sport. Bologna Burger is here to break down all this new charter agreement, breaking news.
- If NASCAR forces all teams only to have three charters, the major teams like Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs are to have four teams. Will this create an unfair financial imbalance between the bigger teams and the smaller teams?
- A decade ago NASCAR fields usually held 43 cars but over the years that’s dwindled to 36. If NASCAR limits only three charters to every team, will this mean fewer cars on the grid?
- We’ve seen the value in the charters fluctuate, literally tens of millions of dollars over the last year. Do you think this is a way for NASCAR to bring in more owners to the sport?
Do you think this agreement will help the sport? When do you think the charter agreement will be signed? Let Bologna Burger know all of your thoughts and questions in the common section.
