This weekend is the NASCAR Cup Series’ first time at Iowa Speedway. Most times, when NASCAR goes to a track we can look at past winners, trends, and other aspects to try to predict what’s gonna happen in the race but this weekend we have none of that. So it lucky that we have Eric and the guys from Win The Race on Out Of The Groove today to help us to try to understand what’s gonna happen on Sunday
- Iowa Speedway is a weird 1.25-mile D-shaped oval with flat banking. On paper, it sounds like it could run similar to Phoenix or Richmond, and those tracks have been Toyota-dominated. Do you think we can see the same thing this weekend?
- Passing on short tracks has been a problem throughout the Next Gen era, but Iowa Speedway’s layout is different from other short tracks on the schedule. Do you think that problem will persist for this race?
- One thing is different about this race track than any other track in NASCAR schedule is the partial repave. Only the perfect racing line has been repaved. How do you think this will affect the race?
Who do you think is gonna win at Iowa? Do you think there will be a good race? Let Eric know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
