NASCAR 25’s fifth dev diary just dropped, and it’s got fans split between optimism and frustration. iRacing and NASCAR brought in voices from across the ladder, from ARCA rookies to Cup contenders, to praise realism, physics, and authenticity. We got a few quick flashes of gameplay, enough to prove the game works and looks solid in spots, but there is still no dedicated gameplay trailer. That’s clearly intentional, with the devs admitting they’re holding that reveal until about a month before launch.

  • • Multiple drivers like Christopher Bell and Ty Majeski rave about track feel and physics, but is it marketing talk or genuine praise?
  • • The gameplay snippets are smooth and presentable, but are they too controlled to show the real state of the game?
  • • Dynamic AI lines at tracks like Bristol sound promising — will they hold up over full races?
  • • The September gameplay trailer timing has fans wondering if the reveal is too close to launch for comfort.

The presentation, menus, and pre-race feel are simple and clean, and that’s winning over some veterans burned by past NASCAR titles. There’s no glaring disaster yet, but also nothing fully selling the game until we see more. The carrot is dangling — now the question is whether the full reveal will feed the hype or flatten it.
