After contact with 3 of 4 JR Motorsports cars, Tyler Reddick finished 36th, prompting some contentious conversation with JRM drivers.

What’s Happening?

Tyler Reddick was behind the wheel of the No. 24 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota Supra when he became a pinball between JRM drivers Sam Mayer, Josh Berry, and Brandon Jones.

The full-time Cup Series driver did not take kindly to the separate incidents but didn’t get too heated in his post race activities. Instead, he took the opportunity to discuss the issues off camera. Reddick won an Xfinity championship for JRM.

What You Need to Know:

  • Tyler Reddick was the victim of several hard hits from JRM drivers in Sunday’s Alliance Group 300 Xfinity race.
  • 3 of the 4 JRM car made contact with the Toyota driver – Sam Mayer, Josh Berry, and Brandon Jones.
  • The incidents may spark a feud between Sam Hunt Racing and JR Motorsports. SHR tweeted some swipes at JRM but those tweets have since been deleted.

Main Characters

Sam Mayer took some fault for the contact but also said Reddick was bumping him significantly prior to the main hit.

After contact with Brandon Jones, it was his spotter that took the blame. Tyler Monn said he told Jones he was clear before the 9 was.

There wasn’t much conversation around the incident with Berry except Fox’s repeated analysis that Reddick was “smushed.”

Sam Hunt Racing recapped their day on Twitter.

In the Stands

Fans expressed sympathy for Reddick’s misfortune.

Others thought it less about misfortune.

Whatever the case, Reddick will be back in the Xfinity seat for Sam Hunt in Las Vegas and fans will get to see if the feud will continue.
