What’s Happening?

Today, after a short period of speculation, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing confirmed they will field a fourth truck in 2025. Jack Wood, who has a history with the team, will drive the familiar truck in 2025.

  • McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced on Dec. 3 that they will field Connor Mosack in the No. 81 in 2025. The team lost two drivers in the offseason but already filled one of those rides. However, when they signed Mosack, they introduced a new number, leaving fans to speculate that they could sign a fourth driver.
  • Jack Wood will be that driver as he brings the No. 91 truck full-time in 2025. Wood, who has not had a full-time ride since 2022, started 13 truck races and one ARCA race for MHR this season. Wood, now 24 years old, has three top-tens in his Truck Series career.
  • MHR now has four full-time drivers: veteran Tyler Ankrum in the No. 18, former Xfinity Series Champion Daniel Hemric in the No. 19, Connor Mosack in the No. 81, and Jack Wood in the No. 91.

MHR is coming off a record year for the team with Christian Eckes in the No. 19. Eckes finished in the top ten in 22 of 23 races in 2024. The team also lost Eckes and No. 43 driver Daniel Dye to Kaulig Racing’s Xfinity program.

Presumably, No. 81 will take over the role of No. 43, with Mosack retaining the truck’s Crew Chief. Whether MHR will field a part-time truck as they did in 2024 is unknown; however, they could have the chance to do so with their relationship with Chevrolet.
