- Alexander joins the team after several years at Richard Childress Racing. The veteran Crew Chief got his start in the NASCAR Cup Series with the team and driver Paul Menard in 2014, with his most recent stint as an RCR Crew Chief ending in 2024.
- By far, Alexander’s best stretch in the NASCAR Cup Series has come with Austin Dillon, whom he served as primary Crew Chief for in 2017, 2018, 2020-2022, and in 2024. Together, the pair won five races, including two Crown Jewel wins, taking home Coca-Cola 600 honors in 2017 and the Daytona 500 in 2018.
- In correlation with the signing of Alexander, the team has opted to move Erik Jones’ former Crew Chief, Ben Beshore, to the role of Director of Race Engineering. Beshore joined LMC in 2024 as Crew Chief of John Hunter Nemechek’s No. 42 team, before moving to the No. 43 with five races left in the 2024 season.
- This move looks to be another chapter in the ever-changing makeup of LMC. That’s not to say their staffing changes haven’t been successful, as the team had a stellar sophomore effort with Toyota in 2025.
