What’s Happening?

Legacy Motor Club announced on Thursday that Fortune 500 company Dollar Tree has signed a multi-year, full-season sponsorship with Legacy Motor Club. The team will have either Dollar Tree or Family Dollar on one of their cars throughout the 2024 season with select races on the 42 and 43 and Jimmie Johnson sponsored by the company at Dover, Kansas (Fall), and Las Vegas (Fall).

  • Dollar Tree joining Legacy Motor Club fills a sponsorship gap for the team. They lost Air Force in the offseason, and, many 2023 races were sponsored by team co-owner Maury Gallagher’s Allegiant Air and Sunseeker Resort. This means a team owner was likely footing the bill for most of the season.
  • Full-season sponsorships are becoming increasingly rare as time goes on. Many sponsors will come on for a race or two, but, finding a major sponsor to help fund an entire race team is a major win for Legacy Motor Club.
  • Fans are very excited about this move. This is another major step for Legacy Motor Club in an offseason of major steps.
