What’s Happening?
Amidst social media discussions regarding the topic, sources have told us that Frankie Muniz and Joey Gase are rumored to be teaming up to co-own Joey Gase Motorsports. While nothing is official yet and no announcement is imminent, the Daily Downforce’s own sources around the garage are telling us that the two are working towards such a deal.
Rumors about such a deal started on social media, most notably the picture below featuring a new logo with the name “Gase-Muniz Motorsports”.
- Frankie Muniz competed in his first race for Joey Gase Motorsports at Daytona, finishing 33rd after getting caught up in an accident early in stage two. Muniz will also race for the team at Phoenix in March. He burst onto the NASCAR scene in 2023 by performing well in the ARCA Menards Series recording 11 top-10s in 20 races.
- Joey Gase has been a journeyman driver throughout his career racing across all three National Touring Series. In 2021, he started this race team alongside fellow driver Patrick Emerling, but, Emerling left the team just before the 2024 season. With no second-name partner, that opens up the door for Muniz to potentially slot in.
- Fans were surprised and excited to hear about this potential rumor. Muniz has garnered quite the following with his impressive ARCA Menards Series performance, and fans are excited to see him continue to race.
