What’s Happening?
This week, NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson hits the dirt in an attempt to win his third straight, and fourth all-time, Knoxville Nationals. Larson’s first night of action in Knoxville, Iowa, is in the books, and things are already looking up for the three-time champion.

Larson’s Thursday night outing didn’t start off as spectacular as many had hoped. His run during single-flight qualifying landed him just 15th on the speed chart. From there, the 33-year-old would finish in a transfer spot during Heat Five, finishing fourth.
But Larson showed his true pace during the 25-lap A Feature.
After starting fifth, the No. 57 took home the win over Logan Schuchart, picking up 200 points along the way. While this was a successful night for Larson, he is now locked into Saturday night’s championship. Larson is setting out to be the sixth driver to win four or more Knoxville Nationals, and the third driver to win three in a row.
It’s all part of a busy weekend, and a very busy Saturday, for Larson.
Alongside his duties in Iowa, Larson is racing in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen this weekend. The first on-track action for the Cup Series at Watkins Glen is scheduled for 12:05 PM EST Saturday afternoon, and following that practice session is qualifying, which will take place at 1:10 PM EST.
The green flag will drop for the Cup Series race at 2:00 PM EST Sunday, after Saturday night’s finale in Knoxville.
