With a pair of top-five finishes at Kansas Speedway by Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott, Hendrick Motorsports is the first team to reach over 1,250 top-fives in the NASCAR Cup Series. The organization now has 1,251 top-five results. Larson won the race for the team’s sixth victory of the 2024 season.

The team’s first top five came with Geoff Bodine at Martinsville Speedway, in the same race he won on April 29, 1984.

This is just the latest milestone for the Rick Hendrick-owned squad as it celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024. Last month, Kyle Larson’s pole position at Texas Motor Speedway was the team’s 250th pole in the sport’s top series. William Byron won the team’s 40th anniversary race at Martinsville at the start of April. In March, the team led its 80,000th lap in the sport’s top series.

The organization earned its 300th Cup Series win at Texas (by William Byron) in September of 2023. The Hendrick Motorsports engine department scored its 500th national series win (by Larson) in the Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway earlier that month.
