What’s Happening?

Former McAnally-Hilgemann Racing driver Connor Mosack will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series on a part-time schedule with Spire Motorsports in 2026.

  • Mosack will drive Spire’s No. 7 truck in 12 races throughout the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, with his first race scheduled for February 28 in the series debut at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The No. 7 is expected to be full-time, fielding a rotation of drivers, with Michael McDowell already announced as the driver for the team in the season opener at Daytona.
  • Last year, Mosack made his full-time NASCAR National Series debut after several seasons of racing part-time across the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and Xfinity Series. Racing the No. 81 for McAnally–Hilgemann Racing, Mosack finished second in Rookie of the Year standings with a best finish of sixth, four top tens, and a pole position at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta.
  • Though he had not confirmed any plans to leave the team, for some time now, most assumed Mosack was a free agent as MHR announced Kris Wright would drive the No. 81 in 2026 on December 9. Since then, Mosack has also announced a two-race schedule with Pinnacle Racing Group in the ARCA Menards Series.
  • Mosack has an average finish of 19th in 36 career Craftsman Truck Series races since making his debut in 2022. Though he is known for his skill on road courses, of Mosack’s eight career top-ten finishes, seven have come on ovals, including his best career finish of third at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 2024.
