What’s Happening?
Actor-turned- NASCAR driver Frankie Muniz had another quiet run at Homestead-Miami Speedway last Friday. But that doesn’t mean the 39-year-old didn’t have some fun, as his radio communications from that night have since gone viral.
Chicken Tenders, Heart Attacks, and Kyle Larson
Though he has just one top-ten finish this season, Frankie Muniz looks to be having the time of his life during his Craftsman Truck Series Rookie Season. This enthusiasm shows via the elder rookie’s radio communications with his Reaume Brothers Racing team in a supercut recently posted on TikTok by B/R Racing.

This video, featuring Muniz’s odd yet enthusiastic takes on the race, has since gone viral, with over 900,000 views and 87,000 likes since posting. Highlights include Muniz worrying about his heart rate, stating, “My heart rate is already at 190, which is a good thing; it means I’m alive.”
Muniz also apologized in case he threw up during the race, claiming that he had one too many chicken tenders prior to the race. “Travis, I’m sorry if I puke in the car… too many chicken tenders.”
However, perhaps the funniest of all is the moment when Muniz jokes about roughing up 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion and eventual race winner Kyle Larson. Muniz said, “Yo, is Kyle Larson ready for what I’m bout to give him?”
Muniz in 2025
After a handful of disappointing NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts in 2024, Muniz is off to a much-improved start in 2025. Though he isn’t running up front, Muniz continues to have solid outings, improving on his starting spot in all but one race.
He also scored in the top ten at the season opener at Daytona and briefly led the Rookie of the Year standings. Last season, racing the No. 22 and No. 27 trucks in four starts, Muniz had a best finish of 29th; so far this season, the driver has bested this finish in all four of his starts.
Though Muniz has had his fair share of troubles on track since he began stock car racing in 2023, fans have appreciated his enthusiasm and dedication to improving his skills.
