Everything You Need to Know About iRacing’s NASCAR 25 Console Game (So Far)
What’s Happening? Since late 2023, NASCAR fans have been waiting for the release of iRacing’s upcoming NASCAR console game. In…
Throughout the process of iRacing revealing small details about its upcoming NASCAR console game, NASCAR ’25, fans have speculated about the exclusion of Trackhouse Racing’s sponsor, Red Bull.
The energy drink brand made its return to NASCAR this year on the hood of Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch’s Chevrolets, but, in all the games’ preview materials, a primary scheme for the sponsor is missing.
If this were the case, and Red Bull were out of NASCAR ’25, it would be the second major energy drink to not be in the game, as it is likely that rival brand Monster Energy is likely to be excluded from the game as an associate sponsor.
However, unlike Monster, fans assumed that Red Bull would be in the game thanks to an in-game screenshot from RFK Racing in July showing Connor Zilisch in a Cup Series race. As Zilisch had only raced Red Bull cars at the Cup level this season, fans assumed this was a confirmation of their appearance in the game.

But, when iRacing revealed the Cup Series roster on August 5, the No. 87 was nowhere to be found.
While fears of Red Bull’s exclusion have lingered throughout the summer nd into today’s official gameplay reveal/pre-order opening date, relief may be here for fans of the Red Bull drivers. Listed for sale on the XBOX Store alongside the Standard and Gold editions of NASCAR ’25 is the ‘NASCAR ’25 October Pack’ DLC.
This DLC pack claims to feature “over 70 paint schemes and over 30 firesuits” across the game’s four racing series, and schemes from Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Connor Zilisch. And, though it does not specifically state their inclusion in the description, the image gallery features an image of Shane van Gisbergen’s No. 88 Red Bull Chevrolet.
As exciting as this may be, it also begs new questions. If Red Bull is in the game, will Zilisch join the Cup Series? Does this also imply that Zilisch and SVG will get their Red Bull Xfinity Series paint schemes?
Though it seems unlikely that we will have answers to these questions prior to the game’s October 14 release date, this DLC seemingly extinguishes any fears that Red Bull might be excluded from the game.
NASCAR ’25 is set to release on October 14 for PS5 and XBOX Series X/S, with a PC release via Steam set for November 11. For any and all information, including timelines, promotional videos, and in-game info, make sure to check out our in-depth article on NASCAR ’25 linked above.
