What’s Happening?

This jam-packed day of NASCAR racing continues at Lime Rock Park with the ARCA Menards Series. Right off the heels of the Truck race at the track, ARCA made its debut with the Lime Rock 100. As we all know, ARCA doesn’t race in stages and doesn’t award stage points. Instead, there was a planned halfway break to happen around Lap 34. During this break, teams and drivers were allowed to bring their cars down pit road for adjustments in non-competitive pit stops.

The points leader heading into this race was Brenden “Butterbean” Queen, who is already a three-time winner in 2025. Lawless Alan came in at only 11 behind. He has also won a race this year. With Mike Joy waiving the green flag at his home track, we were off ARCA racing on FS2 at the famed Lime Rock Park.

Lawless Alan, a seasoned road course racer, snagged the lead early on. He led the first 16 laps of the race before Alon Day took the lead. Ray Gemmell slid into 3rd and points leader, Brenden Queen, making his road course debut, faded to 6th. The caution flew on Lap 18 due to a hard impact after Ed Pompa and Jason Kitzmiller. Upon the restart, Alan retook the race lead. It was short-lived, however, as Day muscled the lead back. Meanwhile, Brenden Queen climbed back up to 3rd.

On lap 35, we got our half-time break with Day leading Alan and Queen. In the closing laps of the race, double duty driver who finished 15th in the Truck race, Thomas Annunziata, took control of the race. He led almost the entire second half of the race over Brenden Queen, Alon Day, and Lawless Alan. He went on to win his first career ARCA Menards Series race. Pushing a little too hard, Brenden Queen wheel hopped in one of the corners, dropping him down to 4th. Alan Day was through to second with Lawless Alan in third.
