What’s Happening?

NASCAR drivers have more ways to express themselves than ever before, and one of the most commonly used tools is a podcast. A few drivers host their own podcasts where they talk about the current state of NASCAR along with their own inside opinions on the controversies and drama surrounding the sport. Here is a list of all NASCAR driver podcasts.

  • To be eligible for this list the podcast has to be hosted or co-hosted by a former or current NASCAR Cup Series driver. The podcast must be actively produced and released on a regular schedule.
  • Any defunct podcasts will be ineligible for this list. Any NASCAR podcasts not hosted by a current or former driver will not be included as well. This means shows like “Glass Case of Emotion” and “The Teardown” will not be included.
  • Fans often listen to these podcasts to get their NASCAR content fix throughout the week. These are some fan favorites.

Monday: Actions Detrimental with Denny Hamlin

Denny Hamlin is one of the most outspoken drivers in NASCAR along with being a team owner. Aside from his outgoing personality giving him incredibly quotable lines, Hamlin speaks as someone who is actively involved in the sport right now. He is a driver and a team owner, and he brings incredible insight to both aspects of the spot. The audio podcast is available wherever you get your podcasts along with a video version on YouTube.

Tuesday and Wednesday: Dale Jr Download

The Dale Jr. Download is where NASCAR fans go to hear what 15-time Most Popular Driver and NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s thoughts on the sport. The show is split into two episodes per week, with the Tuesday episode primarily being a discussion about the happenings of NASCAR, maybe a short interview, and “Ask Jr.”. The Wednesday show is the guest episode where Earnhardt Jr. talks with some of the biggest names in NASCAR past and present. The audio version is available on all podcast platforms with the video version on YouTube.

Tuesday and Thursday: Harvick’s Happy Hour

The newest member of the Fox booth, Kevin Harvick, now has a podcast to boot co-hosted by Kaitlyn Vincie and Mamba Smith. Like the Dale Jr. Download the Tuesday episode is primarily done recapping the previous race and previewing the next race. The Thursday Episode is a guest episode where Harvick has interviewed the likes of Kyle Busch, SVG, and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.

Dates Vary (Usually Monday-Wednesday): Stacking Pennies With Corey LaJoie

The dates for this podcast tend to float, but, Corey LaJoie is one of NASCAR’s official podcasters with his Stacking Pennies podcast. LaJoie hosts the show alongside Ryan Flores, and LaJoie is an open book about how his weekend went. From the good to the bad to the ugly, he will talk about it. Guests will often come by as well, but, not every week. This podcast, like most others, is available on podcast platforms along with a video version on YouTube.

Wednesdays: The Money Lap with Parker Kligerman and Landon Cassil

Semi-retired NASCAR Series driver Landon Cassill hosts this show alongside full-time Xfinity Series driver and NBC broadcaster, Parker Kligerman. While the pairing talks about NASCAR primarily, they will also drift into other forms of motorsports like Formula One, as they refer to the show as a “Motorsports Newsletter”. There is the occasional interview, but, it’s predominantly Kligerman and Cassill. While the show is available on Apple podcasts, it’s primarily a YouTube show.

Power Hour with Eric Estepp and Brennan Poole

Power Hour is where YouTubers and NASCAR drivers collide. Eric Estepp and Xfinity Series driver Brennan Poole come on once a month to talk about all of the happenings surrounding NASCAR in all three series alongside interviewing those inside the industry. This show is released on YouTube and on Dailydownforce.com. Poole and Eric took the show on the road for the first time this year, doing live recordings at both Daytona and Phoenix.

Made in Level Cross

Made in Level Cross allows NASCAR fans to hear from a member of NASCAR’s Royal Family. Thad Moffitt, the grandson of Richard Petty, hosts the show featuring interviews with a myriad of industry insiders. Moffitt builds his life on faith, family, patriotism, and perseverance, and all of that was born in the town the Petty family made famous, Level Cross.

These are where NASCAR fans can get driver insight throughout the week. This list will be updated if more drivers start podcasts.
