Welcome back to the Greatest NASCAR Bettor in the Universe here on The Daily Downforce. Get ready as we dial in another exciting weekend of racing.

One of the more bizarre race weekends of the year is upon us as we have Cup and Trucks out in St. Louis at World Wide Technology Raceway, and we had the Xfinity Series show out at the wild road course of Portland International Raceway.

Our fun weekend caps with the NASCAR Cup Series at World Wide Technology for the Enjoy Illinois 300. To get more of my face and early weekend leans, be sure to tune in to DALESCENTER on YouTube to make sure you don’t miss a beat on the betting picks and advice.

Let’s get right into it.

NASCAR Cup Series Best Bets for St. Louis

Kyle Busch Outright +700 (Barstool Sportsbook)

I got in on 12-1 earlier, but I still don’t mind 7-1. He starts P1 at a track very dependent upon using creativity to gain track position. If the pit crew performs, I expect KFB to stay up front.

I know last year must be on his mind after running second to rival Joey Logano. It appears from practice and qualifying that KFB may have the car to beat. This car had speed here in 2022 (driven by Tyler Reddick), and now KFB put it on the pole and had strong averages in practice. 7-1 is worth it.

Ross Chastain Outright +900, Top 5 +150 (Barstool Sportsbook)

Check out Barstool for some of the better Top 5 odds in the market, and consider Ross Chastain this weekend. He laid an egg at Charlotte last week, but I sense a strong run from the melon man today.

Ross finished 8th last year in this event after spending the majority of the race being harassed by Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott. Did he deserve it? Sure, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he was fast enough to battle back and earn a Top 10 in adverse circumstances.

The Top 5 bet here is the emphasis play. I love the line that Barstool is offering us here.Ross has had speed in this intermediate package and showed speed in practice and qualifying yesterday. Additionally, he’s got one of the strongest pit crews in the garage to help him gain and maintain track position.

I think Chastain scoring a Top 5 is one of the more certain, good value plays on the board for today.

Brad Keselowski: Outright +4000, Top 5 +500 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

Here’s your longshot play. I would shop some Top Ford markets as well (I bet him for Top Ford almost every week at this point), but Brad’s lackluster qualifying effort may not be an accurate representation of the speed of the car.

Brad had some decent speed in practice, and his RFK fleet has continuously brought better and better speed to the racetrack in 2023. Also, I cannot reiterate enough how important track position is today; it’s gonna require some teams to gamble to gain spots.

The man who gambles more than anybody is Brad K. Give me the speed in the car, and give me the courage for Brad to do the opposite of the leaders to make something happen. That has me feeling confident about a 40-1 ticket courtesy of DraftKings.
