What’s Happening?
On Thursday, Sirius XM NASCAR Radio and Dirty Mo Media announced a new partnership. Per the announcement, the Dale Jr. Download will now be broadcast on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio beginning in June, along with “Special event broadcasts throughout the year.” No mention was made in the press release about whether or not the show would be removed from its current platforms like Spotify. In addition, Sirius XM gains exclusive advertising rights to all Dirty Mo Media podcasts such as “Door, Bumper, Clear”, and “Actions Detrimental.”
- When Dale Earhahrdt Jr. was with NBC, the video version of the Dale Jr. Download was exclusively broadcast in full on Peacock, with the audio version available on other platforms. He announced this spring that he would leave NBC for Amazon Prime and TNT Sports for their 2025 NASCAR coverage. This meant the Dale Jr. Download was no longer broadcasted on Peacock, and many wondered how Dirty Mo Media fit into Dale Earnahrdt Jr.’s plans.
- Earnhardt Jr. mentioned in the press release that this is not his first rodeo with Sirius XM NASCAR Radio. He hosted his own show back in the 2000s. He said of the new agreement with Sirius XM compared to the old one, “Since then, nothing has changed other than I’m now a married father of two, I don’t race as much, XM is called SiriusXM, and I am bringing an entire media company back with me.”
- Fans have been waiting for a while to see what Dirty Mo Media’s future would look like. Now they know, and many are curious to see how everything works.
