- As part of the deal, long-time sponsor Dude Wipes will be on the hood of No. 42 this season. The brand has sponsored Alfredo since he was with Richard Childress Racing in 2020.
- Alfredo raced for Our Motorsports in the No. 5 last season. He put together one of his best seasons yet, but following the Xfinity Series finale at Phoenix, Alfredo confirmed that he would not return to the car.
- Our Motorsports also confirmed this when they signed Kris Wright to drive the No. 5 this season in Alfredo‘s place. It was unknown where Alfredo would go as several Chevrolet teams had open seats. However, as these spots continued to fill, fans questioned Alfredo’s future.
Young’s made their Xfinity series debut last season with Leland Honeyman Jr. behind the wheel of the No. 42. However, this ride opened up when Honeyman announced his signing with Cope Family Racing on Jan 2.
This season will be Alfredo’s fourth consecutive season of Xfinity series action of his career, in 118 career starts. The 25-year-old has five top fives in 22 top tens. He is also entering the Daytona 500 with Beard Motorsports this season.
