What’s Happening?

In the wake of Kyle Busch’s tragic passing, many fans are turning to honoring his memory through donations to the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.

NASCAR icon Kyle Busch passed away on Thursday, and the loss has sent shockwaves through fans, the garage, and media circles across the sport.

While drivers have paid tribute through social media posts, and teams may eventually roll out other tributes, with NASCAR itself expected to one day reserve him a place in the Hall of Fame, fans have also found a path to carry Busch’s memory forward in a way that reaches beyond the racetrack.

Most race fans have done so through donations to a cause Kyle and Samantha Busch spent years championing together: the Bundle of Joy Fund.

The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund focuses on expanding access to IVF treatment and coverage, raising awareness surrounding infertility, and helping families avoid walking through that struggle alone.

The organization already works alongside sponsors, including REACH Fertility, but contributions from fans could now help continue the mission the Busch family fought for during some of the hardest phases of their lives.

Since news of Busch’s passing, the charity has experienced a surge in support as NASCAR fans and members of the racing community poured donations into the foundation to honor his memory and continue the work the couple built together.

Many fans have donated, with donations matching varying combinations Busch’s long-time numbers 8 and 18. Fans interested in donating can visit the organization’s donation page directly and contribute toward the cause.

Kyle and Samantha Busch fought infertility for more than a decade before eventually welcoming their two children, Brexton and Lennix. Their road came with six rounds of IVF, miscarriages, failed cycles, and stretches of heartbreak that tested them time and again.

Realizing they were fortunate enough to afford treatments that many families cannot, they launched the nonprofit fund to help ensure others would not have to sacrifice financial security in pursuit of parenthood.

The organization provides monetary grants to families struggling with infertility to help cover the cost of In Vitro Fertilization treatments. To date, the fund has awarded more than $2 million in grants, with that support directly helping bring more than 100 babies into the world.

The organization places focus on helping groups that often receive little or no fertility coverage, including military families, first responders, and public school teachers. Operating through three grant cycles each year during spring, summer, and winter, the Bundle of Joy Fund offers up to $20,000 per household.

For fans hoping to honor Kyle Busch that goes beyond memorial posts and race-day tributes, donations to the Bundle of Joy Fund may help place another family one step closer to holding the child they once feared they might never have, given that it was a struggle Busch himself knew all too well.
