What’s Happening?
Tuesday, NASCAR announced its booth for Xfinity Series coverage on the CW. Jamie McMurry and Parker Kligerman join play-by-play voice Adam Alexander as the inaugural booth for the first full season of the NASCAR Xfinity Series on the CW.
- NASCAR announced in late 2023 that the CW would serve as the exclusive host of the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The CW took over earlier than expected in late 2024 at the Bristol night race. They utilized NBC’s booth of Rick Allen, Steve Letarte, and Jeff Burton.
- Adam Alexander will be the play-by-play voice for NASCAR on the CW; he was the voice of series coverage on Fox last season. The 2025 season looks to be a major step up for Alexander, who is also working as the voice of NASCAR on Prime Video and TNT alongside Dale Earnhart Jr. and NBC’s Steve Letarte.
- Former Daytona 500 Champion Jamie McMurray follows Alexander to the CW booth from FOX. McMurray retired from full-time racing in 2019 and served as an analyst and co-host for FOX prior to this move.
Parker Kligerman is stepping out of the race car full-time to take on this new role. Kligerman recently raced full-time for Big Machine Racing in the Xfinity Series. Though Kligerman announced his retirement from full-time racing in September, he reportedly plans to run part-time in the Truck Series this season. Kligerman has TV experience as a pit reporter for NASCAR on NBC.
This notably confirms that Rick Allen will not be the play-by-play voice for either NASCAR on NBC or the CW. This leaves the veteran out of a job for 2025.
