What’s Happening?
Joe Gibbs Racing, through investor Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, will gain a valuable partner in 2025. The Campbell Soup Company will partner with JGR and other HBSE brands in the near future.
- The Campbell Soup Company owns several notable brands, such as Goldfish, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, and V8. While it is unknown which of its 16 “leadership brands” will work with JGR, this is a major addition for JGR and HBSE.
- Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment owns the Philadelphia 76ers, New Jersey Devils, and Delaware Blue Coats. It also owns a minor share in Joe Gibbs Racing, looping this deal into its other sports ventures, including the legendary NASCAR team.
- It’s not clear whether or not a Campbell brand will appear on the hood of a JGR Camry next year, but either way, a major brand partnership like this helps out JGR. The team is seeing cutbacks from longtime sponsor Fedex, and rumors suggest they could miss out on a free-agent major sponsor in 2025.
- Early this year, there was a rumor that Kroger would leave JTG Daugherty Racing following 2025 and subsequently go to JGR. However, as of recently, everything now points to Kroger heading to RFK Racing next year and making this partnership, on car or not, all the more important.
