Denny Hamlin and 23XI have been the most outspoken party in this whole charter negotiation and this week he just let us in on some more details. Eric Estepp from Out Of The Groove is here to give us a rundown on everything that was said. Also, he gives us an update on the Eric Jones injury and SVG’s plans for All-Star weekend.
- With SVG’s historic win in the rain at the Chicago Street Course, he is eligible for the 2024 All-Star race but unfortunately for him, Trackhouse would need to field a third car for the All-Star race and considering that the race is not very profitable unless you win then it’s not worth the expense. Do you think it’s time that the All-Star race pays more?
- On the Dale Jr Download this week Hamlin said “The tracks and NASCAR make a nine-figure profit while the teams lose seven figures a year”. If these amounts are true, how important is it that this charter agreement gets signed?
- After Eric Jones had that huge hit in Daytona that injured his back, so far he has had to miss Dover and now he has just announced that he will miss next week’s race at Kansas. Since we’ve seen the effects of lingering back injuries, how long do you think Eric Jones should wait before getting back into the car?
Is Cory a good fit for the 43 until Eric Jones can come back? What do you think would happen to NASCAR if the charter agreement doesn’t get signed? Let Eric know all of your thoughts and questions in his comments. He reads them all.
