What’s Happening?

Supercars star Shane Van Gisbergen burst onto the NASCAR scene in 2023 by winning the Chicago Street Race with Trackhouse’s Project 91. This eventually forayed into a development contract for Trackhouse featuring an eclectic schedule of races. Here is a breakdown of the 2024 racing schedule for SVG.

  • SVG’s 2024 racing schedule features a full-time NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule with Kaulig Racing, a part-time Cup Series schedule, and a single ARCA Menards Series race.
  • The goal for SVG is to go full-time in the Cup Series eventually, as soon as 2025.
  • Fans are excited to see how SVG will do in 2024. He is one of the most interesting drivers of the 2024 NASCAR season.

NASCAR Cup Series

SVG will compete in 7 Cup Series races in 2024 across multiple different race tracks. He has three road course races, two superspeedway races, and two intermediate track races. Every race except for the race at Watkins Glen will be on free-to-air network TV. It’s not clear whether these races will be in a Kaulig Racing entry or a Trackhosue Racing entry.
