What’s Happening?

Christian Eckes, who drives full-time for Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, will return to the Craftsman Truck Series and McAnally-Hilgemann Racing this season.

  • Eckes will make two starts with the team in a new fifth part-time truck, the No. 16. The first of these two starts will be on Aug. 15 at Richmond Raceway, and the second at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sept. 20.
  • While Eckes has never made a start in any NASCAR National Series at New Hampshire, he has made four Truck Series starts at Richmond. In those four starts, Eckes has two top tens and a best finish of 2nd in a race he sat on the pole during last season.
  • The 24-year-old took MHR to new heights in the Craftsman Truck Series, driving their No. 19 entry in 2023 and 2024. After years of floating across teams in the series with Toyota, Eckes earned eight of his nine career Truck Series wins during his two years with the team.
  • His second season at MHR, in which he had 22 top-tens in 23 races, earned him a promotion to the Xfinity Series with Kaulig Racing. Driving the teams flagship No. 16, Eckes currently sits 16th in points with a best finish of third at Pocono.
