Salem ARCA 200 at Salem Speedway

- SAWALICH AT SALEM: William Sawalich has one ARCA Menards Series (AMS) race under his belt at Salem Speedway. In the 2023 race, Sawalich started second and ran there for the first 71 laps of the race. During a restart on lap 72, Sawalich was battling for the lead and hit the outside wall. The team brought the No. 81 down pit road for repairs and salvaged a sixth-place finish.
- LAST TIME OUT: Sawalich ran the AMS race last weekend at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. The 17-year-old driver won the pole for the race. He lost the lead on the initial start, but regained the lead on lap 108 and led a race-high 72 laps. Sawalich battled for the lead on the overtime restart, but ultimately finished third in the race.
- 2023 ARCA EAST CHAMPION: Sawalich claimed the 2023 ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) championship at Bristol Motor Speedway. He ended the AMSE season with four wins and finished in the top-five in all eight races on the AMSE schedule. He became the second AMSE champion for Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.
- JGR AT SALEM: Joe Gibbs Racing has eight starts at Salem Speedway. Ty Gibbs earned the team’s sole win in 2019. Drivers have combined for two top-five finishes, six top-10 finishes, and 423 laps led at the short track.
