Grant Enfinger is the most prominent Craftsman Truck Series free agent heading into 2024. With GMS closing its’ doors heading into 2024, Enfinger has yet to announce his 2024 plans, but, many teams will likely be lining up for his services. There are some big race teams that could make nice homes for Enfinger.

CR7 Motorsports

Sources have recently told the Daily Downforce that Grant Enfinger is currently the favorite to land at CR7 for 2024. CR7 had Colby Howard drive the car this year in the Truck Series. However, Enfinger has history with the team.

He drove 9 races for the team to fill out a full-time Truck Series schedule in 2021, and he ran in two ARCA Menards Series races for the team this season. He has a relationship with the team, and he has performed well with the team.

Front Row Motorsports

Front Row Motorsports, as we have mentioned multiple times, has slim pickings when it comes to Ford prospects. Because of that, it’s not out of the question that Front Row looks to Enfinger to take over that seat. The big question is whether or not FRM wants a veteran like Enfinger to take that ride.

FRM has proven they will use their race team as a way to move drivers up into their Cup team. Todd Gilliland is the most recent example of this, and FRM may prefer another younger driver they could move up. Keep in mind that they sign their drivers to one-year contracts usually, and that gives them some flexibility should Gilliland or McDowell not work out.

This is set to be one of the most interesting stories to follow in Silly Season in the Truck Series. Will Enfinger find his way into one of these rides?
