What’s Happening?
After a long offseason and some shuffling of drivers, it’s finally time. Today, the newly named NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly the Xfinity Series) take to the high banks of Daytona International Raceway. There were some driver changes. Gone is Connor Zilisch who is now a rookie for Trackhouse in the No. 88 Chevy. Filling out the schedule in the Hendrick.Com No. 88 for JRM in the O’Reilly Series is Rajah Caruth and the HMS drivers of the Cup Series. But defending series champion, Jesse Love is back, trying to defend his title.

Things to Note
- With Connor Zilisch graduating to the NASCAR Cup Series, the door to win the championship is blown wide open. But one of the favorites has to be veteran driver Justin Allgaier. The 2024 series champ is back driving the No. 7 JRM Chevy. He has a new crew chief this season. He’ll be rolling off in 13th.
- The RCR duo dominates superspeedways in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Today, they swept the front row. They are looking to continue their stranglehold on the competition in today’s race.
- HMS returns to the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series full-time this season with Corey Day as the driver. Day, a protégé of Kyle Larson, will need to prove that he has what it takes to hang with the stars of tomorrow today.
